Child assessment information

Dear Parents.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) has the longest waiting time in it’s history. I am aware that Educational Health Care Plans are needs lead but often rejected if a firm diagnosis is not present. While children and young people are not present in you school at the moment, I am also fully aware that planning for children with additional needs continues.

Developing Active Young Minds is a Neuro-developmental assessment service that continues to provide country recognised diagnostics during this time of uncertainty and social isolation.

Our assessments are safely delivered using full personal protective equipment and conducted by a fully qualified and registered doctor and nurse, assuring safety for the young people and their families. Our costing, unlike others, is realistic to the time and resources used in assessing the young person. There are no hidden costs and a clear pricing structure. We have a 5 star Google and Yell rating and this high level of satisfaction is delivered to all the schools and families that use our service.

All diagnosis and assessments result in a comprehensive report, including personalised recommendations for the young person, family and school. If appropriate and agreed by the child’s family, in a number of cases a medication option would be available using a shared care agreement we have with the NHS, allowing parents to gain therapeutic medications without a prescription cost.

If you feel that our service could be used by your school and the wider community, please make contact with us on Mrwretham@developingminds.co or visit our website at Developingminds.co

Kind regards.
